The Membership plan (€4.99/month) gives you access to the core platform features such as creating your profile, browsing jobs and accommodations, and submitting applications. The Premium plan (€9.99/month) expands these possibilities with cheaper job application costs, priority placement in listings, and advanced search filters to help you find the right opportunities faster. For those who want the highest level of support and visibility, the Exclusive plan (€19.99/month) provides top priority exposure, access to exclusive community features, and special benefits designed to give you the best possible start worldwide.

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is simple! Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner of any page. Fill in your basic information, including your name, email, and password. You'll also need to upload a government-issued ID for verification purposes, which helps us maintain a safe and trustworthy community. Once your account is created, you can complete your profile and start exploring the platform.

Who can use AussieStart?

AussieStart is primarily designed for:


  • Backpackers and travelers on Working Holiday visas in Australia

Anyone over 18 years of age can create an account and use our platform, but our services are specifically tailored to the needs of international travelers in Australia.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account:

Please note that account deletion is permanent and will cancel any active subscriptions or applications. If you have any pending job applications or accommodation bookings, we recommend resolving these before deleting your account.

How do I find jobs on AussieStart?

Finding jobs on AussieStart is simple:


  1. Navigate to the Jobs section from the main menu

  2. Use the search bar to find jobs by keyword, title, or company

  3. Apply filters to narrow down results by location, job type, category, etc.

  4. Browse through the listings and click on any job for more details

  5. Save interesting jobs to view later by clicking the bookmark icon


You can also set up job alerts to receive notifications when new jobs matching your criteria are posted.

What types of jobs are available?

AussieStart features a wide variety of jobs suitable for backpackers, including:

How many jobs can I apply for?

You can apply for as many jobs and accommodations as you want, however the only difference is the application cost depending on the membership level

What happens after I apply for a job?

After submitting your application:


  1. The employer receives your application and can view your profile

  2. You'll receive a confirmation notification in your dashboard

  3. The employer may contact you directly via email or number

  4. You can track the status of all your applications in your dashboard

  5. If selected, the employer will arrange an interview or next steps


We recommend following up if you haven't heard back within a week, which you can do directly through our platform.

How do I find accommodation on AussieStart?

Finding accommodation is easy:


  1. Navigate to the Accommodation section from the main menu

  2. Use the search bar to find accommodations by location or keyword

  3. Apply filters to narrow down results by price range, accommodation type, amenities, etc.

  4. Browse through the listings and click on any accommodation for more details

  5. Save interesting accommodations to view later by clicking the bookmark icon


You can also set up accommodation alerts to receive notifications when new listings matching your criteria are posted.

What types of accommodation are available?

AussieStart offers various accommodation options including:


  • Hostels: Shared dormitories or private rooms in social establishments

  • Share Houses: Private rooms in shared properties with other travelers

  • Private Rentals: Self-contained apartments or houses

  • Work-for-Accommodation: Properties offering reduced rates in exchange for work

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation policies vary depending on the accommodation:


  • Flexible: Full refund if canceled at least 24 hours before check-in

  • Moderate: Full refund if canceled at least 5 days before check-in

  • Strict: 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before check-in


The cancellation policy of each accommodation may vary from provider to provider.

Is it safe to pay through AussieStart?

  • All payments are processed through our secure payment gateway

  • Your payment information is encrypted and never shared with hosts

  • All providers are verified. However, if false information is provided, we will take further action.

Visa Information

What is a Working Holiday visa?

A Working Holiday visa (subclass 417 or 462) allows eligible young adults to work and travel in Australia for up to 12 months. Key features include:
